Foo Gallery Caption Not Showing on Full Size Image After Caption is Clicked

  • I’m trying out the free Foo Gallery Plugin, looking for alternative to NextGen. I haven’t been able to get captions to display at the bottom of the full size image after clicking on the thumbnail. I can see the number sequence for the images at the bottom right of the full size image but no caption.

    I’ve tried all sorts of combinations of the settings below and can’t get captions to show at the bottom of the full size image.

    FooGallery Version: Version 1.7.6
    Page Builder: WP Bakery

    My Foo settings:

    Hover Effects: Always Visible
    Captions: Title and Description are set to: “Attachment Caption”

    Default Settings
    Caption Title Source: Attachment Caption
    Caption Description Source: Attachment Caption

    I added FooBox to see if that would resolve the issue but that opens up the image twice. So the lightbox is on top and showing the captions (Yay!) but when I click on the X at top right to close the light box I’m looking at the images in Foo Gallery.

    Hello – is anyone from Foo Gallery support responding to issues? I thought captions at the bottom of an enlarged image would work, per your demo and this doesn’t seem to be true.

    Sorry for the delay. I had a look at your page. The lightbox you are using is not picking up the captions. The lightbox is being loaded by the testimonials plugin.

    I suggest you install FooBox again and enable the “disable other lightboxes” setting to see if that works.
