Foobox free activate problem

    I am checking out FooGallery before deciding which gallery software to use and have hit a problem.

    I am trying to activate FooBox Free and even though it appears to download and can be activated, it does not appear as a lightbox option.

    I may be doing something wrong but cannot seem to find out what.

    Any pointers welcome as the lightbox is critical to what I want to do.

  • A couple things to try.

    1. Make sure that FooBox Free shows as activated in the normal plugins listing and also in the FooGallery –> Extension listing.

    2. Edit the FooGallery you already made before activating FooBox and simply click “Update”.

    After that, you should see FooBox as an option in the Lightbox dropdown choice.

    I have solved this by installing the plugin as I would normally, then activated it and hey presto!

    I think the auto install/ activate is not working for me even though it suggested is was:

    ====
    The extension FooBox FREE was successfully downloaded and can now be activated. Activate immediately

    The extension FooBox FREE was successfully activated
    ====

    I have the same problem with the latest version of foogallery and the free lightbox plugin. what should I do? ??

    I think all I did was install Foobox free from WordPress and activate it.

    Will be doing all again tonight so hopefully it will all work!

    No it did not worked and I used this plugin:

    I managed to install it all last night without a problem. For information: I just installed the two plugins from WordPress and activated them.

    I will have a look at https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/lightbox-plus/ although Foobox seems to provide what I was looking for.
