FooGallery Album Pagination

    I have been wracking my brain all day trying to figure out how to create pagination inside an Album of multiple Galleries.

    As you can see in the link, we have 817 individual galleries we imported over from NextGEN. So far, I’m SUPER pleased with FooGallery as far as user experience, layout, etc. But I desperately need to be able to:

    A) Limit the number of galleries per page (to say, 20)
    2) Provide pagination at the bottom of the page

    I’ve done it inside individual galleries, but there don’t appear to be any settings to do the same dot-pagination to albums. Please tell me I’m just missing it!

    unfortunately Albums are a bit behind what the galleries can do, and do not support pagination.

    We are wanting to rework the way albums work so that they are also galleries, but just with a different image source. This feature will allow you to create a paginated “album” (which is actually a gallery) that links to other galleries.

    This feature is some time away, with no timelines as yet.

    Another option would be to hire a developer to create a new paginated Album template, so that the existing album template and change the output to include a pagination control.

    If I’m reading your description correctly then I think you’d be adding a feature I have been looking for outside of NextGen for some time. That is to have albums inside of albums (e.g. PhotoShoot>PhotoShoot A>Photos of Photoshoot A) This would allow for grouping of galleries inside of multiple layers not just on the backend but for the UI.

    I too enjoy FooGallery and the care to detail, I just simply cannot implement until this feature is active. Thank you!

    hi @pinballw – yes nested galleries/albums is what we want to achieve.
