    Hi.

I have been using Foogallery and Polylang plugins for a long time.

It’s been a long time since I looked at the site, but today I noticed that there is no gallery on the translated EN site. Everything is OK on the PL website.

I mean the Zdj?cia tab, or Photos.

    I currently have WordPress 5.6, Foogallery 1.9.44, Polylang 2.9

I don’t know with which update the galleries disappeared.

I have never had this message:

“FooGallery + Polylang Alert: We noticed that you have Polylang installed and you have chosen to activate languages ??and translations for media.
This may cause empty galleries on translated pages! To disable this feature, please visit Settings -> Languages ??-> Settings Tab ”

All plugin settings are rather default.

I didn’t change anything here either:

“On the“ Media ”option, the“ Activate languages ??and translations for media ”MUST remain activated. However, on the“ Custom post types and Taxonomies ”options, click on Settings and ensure that on“ Custom post types ”, galleries MUST NOT be checked! ”

In the editor of the Photos page, you can see this gallery.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    PL https://slopiewnie.pl/zdjecia/ (it’s OK)

EN https://slopiewnie.pl/en/pics/ (there is no gallery)

    Hi @hehe1234

I will setup a test website with the plugins to try and figure out what is going on for translated pages.

We have had many issue with Polylang in the past, as a gallery is a custom post type and Polylang duplicates these behind the scenes. It also duplicates the attachments which causes problems.

I will let you know what I find out

I installed Polylang and figure out why no images are showing.

The Polylang plugin intercepts all the WordPress get_posts calls (which is used when getting the attachments for a gallery) and adds a filter so that only the attachments that have been linked to the language will be returned.

In order to show the images in the translated gallery, you need to add an english version of each attachment. You can do this from the media library list page in your WP admin : https://slopiewnie.pl/wp-admin/upload.php

Alternatively, you can deactivate Media on the Polylang settings page.

Unfortunately this is how Polylang works, and there is nothing that can be done within FooGallery to get around this behaviour, as it could be expected behaviour for some installs

I chose one click to deactivate Media. Less work. It works.
