    hi missbb,

    What gallery template are you using for your galleries? There is no foogallery template that opens the gallery from a sinle thumbnail. I see you also posted this for the foothumbnail plugin : https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/only-thumbnail-image-opens-in-lightbox – are you sure you are using a FooGallery template?

    I am sorry but I do not understand what you mean by “editing my page nothing happens”.

    You said the following : “I doesn;t open a window to setup a gallery or anything” – but do you have any galleries created in foogallery yet?

    thanks
    Brad

    Can you please clarify your trouble by answering a few questions below?

    You are using FooGallery and FooBox Pro, correct?

    After activating FooGallery, cab you go to FooGallery->Add New and create a gallery?

    If you are trying to open a multiple image gallery from a single thumbnail on a page, this is something that is not built in. However, you can try this free plugin built specifically for that purpose:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/foothumbnails-for-galleries/

    Please let me know if I’m understanding your desired usage correctly.

    I used the nextgen importer to create my foogalleries ..if that answers the question?

    When I say that no window appear to setup my gallery I mean that vs Nextgen or other plugin when you edit your post or page and click the button 2add a NGG gallery” (as an example) a window opens giving me options to setup the galleries that way I ‘d like.

    I hope this cleared the issue I’m encountering…?

    Oh and I tried the thumbnail plugin which seemed great at first as it display exactly the what unfortunately only the cover image (thumnail opens in the lihtbox but the rest of the slideshow is blank. I also posted in the forum for this specific plugin but haven’t received a reply yet.

    I posted both question because I tried both options…
    the thumbnail plugin and also opening a NGG album in Foobox following the steps given here https://fooplugins.com/foobox/documentation/#nextgen-album-cover

    I still haven’t figure out how to solve this.

    Do you see the “Add FooGalley” button in your editor? Like in this image?

    https://docs.fooplugins.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Screen-Shot-2014-07-17-at-10.26.42-AM.png

    Clicking “Add FooGallery” will bring up a window to insert an existing gallery or create a new gallery. If you don’t see that window, please make sure your browser isn’t blocking popups.

    Also, that page you linked to has a notice that this method no longer works in NGG 2.0

    Thanks I will look into the new link for NGG 2.0 but as far as the “add foogallery” button is concerned that is exactly the issue I’m having and that I was trying to explain, I do see it but when I click it nothing happens..meaning it doesn’t bring up a window as it should…. I have disabled adblock which is the only thing that could have blocked a window on my mac…

    Actually I had looked into the FAQ and tried the method explained there as well without success either…. (sorry I didn’t mention right away but I had to return to the aforementioned page.

    Ok, let’s tackle the Add FooGallery issue.

    We haven’t had any other users report this, so it’s likely either a browser conflict still, or perhaps more likely, a conflict with another plugin.

    The next step in troubleshooting is for you to deactivate all other plugins besides FooGallery, clear your browser cache and then try the Add FooGallery button again.

    If it still does not work as expected, then please disable ALL of your browser Addons and Extensions and try again.

    Please let me know how that goes.

    If you find it starts working when doing the above, then reactivate each plugin or browser addon one at a time until you find the culprit.

    What also might help – click the button and then open your browser dev tools and see if there are any javascript errors on the page. If so, please paste the error here

    Before I try the way explained in the FAQ again I guess I should remove the php file uploaded in my nextgen folder?

    So I desactived a few plugins and I now see the window allowing me to insert the a foogallery. I’m still looking to have only one photo displayed to launch the gallery slideshow in foobox.

    Thread Starter Sab Rena

    (@missbb)

    So I inserted the extra JS in my foobox settings and included inserted the foo hiddengallery code around the wordpress gallery shortcode and obtained the following

    <div id=”foohiddengallery” style=”display: none;”>

    [gallery type="slideshow" columns="4" ids="1415,1414,1413,1412,1411,1410,1409,1408,1407,1406,1405,1404,1398,1399,1400,1401,1402,1403,1397,1396,1395,1394,1393,1392,1387,1388,1389,1390,1391,1385,1384,1383"]

    </div>

    It seems to totally remove my gallery as it doesn’t appear at all on the galerie page . I will remove the php file uplaoded via ftp in the nextgen folder hoping this will solve the issue.

    Thanks for the help… let me know if I missed a step or something for the gallery to show up.

    Update: I noticed I didn’t add the code to to trigger the hiddengallery So now that I added the end of the code I do see the Test gallery from hyperlink but nothing comes up.
    the code looks like this :

    <div id=”foohiddengallery” style=”display: none;”>

    [gallery columns="4" link="file" ids="1415,1414,1413,1412,1411,1410,1409,1408,1407,1406,1405,1404,1398,1399,1400,1401,1402,1403,1397,1396,1395,1394,1393,1392,1387,1388,1389,1390,1391,1385,1384,1383"]
    </div>

    Test Gallery from hyperlink.

    I’m going to look how to find my “image tag” to trigger the gallery with the choosen picture.

    In the meantime I deleted the gallery.php file uploaded earlier.

    Seeing that this is no longer a foogallery issue, I am resolving this ticket. Please can you open a new ticket on either FooThumbnails, or open a support ticket on Fooplugins if you are having an issue with FooBox

    thanks ??
