  • Did you move wordpress folders and files in bio folder and have a copy of index.php file in root and change line 17 and add your bio folder.

    Thanks for the reply,
Te only changes I made where moved changed the options in the general settings menu to: https://catsandcriminals.com/home on both the options and then followed Te instructions to repair as above. Is there a bio folder? The bio is a page on my blog. Also; none of the individual blog contents are showing upbeither but are workin on Te front page..
1 strange thing, if you click on a post or page in the admin view, and click view page, it doesn’t load up, is that expected? I thought permalinks wouldn’t change? Thanks again sorry for spelling am on phone!

This url tells me that you should have your wordpress files and folder in bio folder if you have that in General.

Where do you have your wordpress files and folder right now as the urls in Settings>>>General they should correspond.

Check what URLs you have in General

WordPress address (URL) and Site address (URL) both read https://catsandcriminals.com and the input boxes are greyed out and I cannot edit them.

the full error message being returned when I try and explore further content (pages, posts etc) is:

    Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    OK I’ve fixed it!

Solution – Undid all of the parts recommended here in ftp:
    https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL

and then deleted the .htaccess file and changed the permalinks structure which created a new .htaccess and everything works.

WordPress address (URL) and Site address (URL) both read https://catsandcriminals.com and the input boxes are greyed out and I cannot edit them.

The reason they greyed out is that you must have put them in wp-config.php to reset them.
