    Dear Devs,

I’m using Vantage Lite at the moment, and before I want to upgrade to the premium theme I want my site fully finished. And I don’t like footer credits (I have an about page where I give credits to WordPress and the Vantage theme.

So wich line of code do I have to remove or add in the footer.php or functions.php?

    Thanks!

    – I thank you for making the SiteBuilder plugin, that one saved so much of my time!

  • You need to remove the links code from the footer.php. But it could break your website if any functions are there in functions.php It’s hard to say which line of code you should remove before watching the footer.php and functions.php codes. share your webiste link and let me see if I can help you or If you allow me to login on your website then I can help. You can give me the access by adding me Skype. [redacted]

    Thanks.

@job – please do not give anyone access to your site who you do not know.

A simple way to do that is to hide it using CSS – if you can post a link to your site, someone can tell you what code to use.

    My website is https://www.pthaarlem.nl

Maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see any credits in your footer – or can you tell me specifically which line(s) you want to remove?

I am sorry @wpyogi I didin’t know that. By the way, Does the footer link hiding with css is good for seo?

    I’m sorry, got it!

Cool – glad to hear it!

@Reyazul Masud Riham – thanks :)! In this case, I don’t think hiding that makes a big difference one way or the other – it’s not really directly relevant to the site’s own content.

@wpyogi You are hiding the link from human by css. But google bots can still read that. So, I think the best way is to remove the code from the footer.php file instead of hiding by css. Right?

Yes, but you know all of the code behind themes, that are distributed on www.ads-software.com, is available for free right? You can even check out the SVN repo to see the code directly in your browser. If you still cannot feel you can continue the support within www.ads-software.com then you can leave it for someone else to help.
