Footer Feed Cuts into side bar

Sounds like this is another CSS issue. When items like sidebars are floated they collapse. You need to use a clearfix to stop this from happening. Details here: https://css-tricks.com/all-about-floats/

Do you mean I should add this?

}

or…

Add the clearfix styles to your styles.css file:

.clearfix:after {
    content: ".";
    visibility: hidden;
    display: block;
    height: 0;
    clear: both;
}

Then add the clearfix class to your left and right column container.

<div class="main-section clearfix">
    <div class="left-column"></div>
    <div class="sidebar-column"></div>
</div>

The class names will be different for your theme.

I have a child theme….do I just add all of this in the same styles sheet?
