Footer – how it is created

I want to understand how you built the footer, as I am not sure if this is static demo footer jus as example or if I should find some page which I do not see. By footer I mean this part – https://awesomescreenshot.com/0155hgqdb2 – not the small bar at the very bottom.

Should I delete this and as in many other themes built my own by using widgets? That is not a problem, however I would like to keep photostream which I have no idea how was built and where may be found.
