Footer Image for TwentyTen Theme

Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme. Instead create a child theme for your changes. Once your child theme is active, we should be able to help with the customisation.

I was reading about a child theme. Seems the best way to go. Will get started. Thanks a bunch.

Hey again! I have decided to try and get the code to work before setting up a child theme. I have a backup of the theme just in case. Once I get this working I will then make the child theme. Any ideas on how to solve my problem?

The issue now is: Both the header and footer seem to be cut off at the right side. I think this is something to do in the <div id=”main”>.

No amount of messing about with the code seems to fix it. Its almost as if it is cutting off at the end of the page or something.

Also I wanted my background image for both header and footer to span the width of the browser window. I am still playing with it and trying to figure it out but thought I would post this just incase someone spots something obvious.

I’m not giving you the answer as I haven’t replicated it but,

I just simply looked into your code inside google chrome in https://purpleoakdesign.com/blog/ and found out that you have multiple div id=”main”.

It might better to fix those before you do anything else.
If you have dreamweaver, you can check the validity of the code. I use it just for that.

You are a god! That was the issue with the header. I renamed that div id to main1 and its working perfectly. Trying to fix the footer now but doesn’t want to play. Will keep looking. cant believe how quick you spotted that!
