footer not displayed

I see you are using WPLM to translate. I am guessing it has to do with its settings, not with the theme.

Could you test that by disabling WPLM for a while, clear cache, if any, and see if the footer widgets show up, please?

i disabled wpml, but that did not do the trick

but when I disable the plugin “Ocean Extra” the footer does show up now

Ah, looks like extra is the culprit or is having a conflict with another third party plugin. Could you disable all other plugins and just leave the theme itself + extra active, to see if that makes a difference?

If so, start enabling all other plugins and check each time if the issue is back.

Strange, that does seem to point to the extra plugin, but I have about 100 sites with OceanWP theme, and they display the footer just fine, with the most recent version of extra.

Is everything completely up to date in your installation?

Hmmm, I know you said you activated footer widgets in costumizer, so it is checked like in my screenshot, correct?

When I inspect your site, it does say there is the OceanWP footer present though, but looks that there are no widgets assigned to it, see my screenshot:

Are you sure there are widgets assigned to that footer in all languages?
Can you make a screenshot and share the link of how and where you have assigned some widgets tot that footer?

Hi, correct, you must have assigned widgets to the footer, otherwise it would not show up at all.

In that case, I am out of options.

One more thing.

Please enable EXTRA first, then check Customize > Footer Widgets and unselect the option for custom template.

If I am not mistaken, you imported the TRAVEL template.

It is possible you are not aware that in that demo, they activated a custom Elementor footer. If that is the case, the “normal” footer widgets are overwritten. Extra is necessary to show a custom-made footer as well.

Let me know if this sets you on the right track!

PS. In case the above does not solve it, please enable Extra and leave it that way so we can inspect the site.

Hi Annie, I stumbled across the ticket again and wanted to thank you for your support. As I wrote above, I deactivated Extra because I don’t need it, and that’s why the problem resolved itself. But the information about the imported template was probably relevant in this case.

I have a similar issue I think. I can only get the footer is displaying as collapsible. If I deactivate Extras it shows fine but I need some of the extra things in Extras. I used a template to get started, have I missed something? The home page is https://shanem117.sg-host.com/
