footer problems

All you have to do is go to Dashboard >> Appearance >> Widgets.
There you will find Footer Navigation 1, Footer Navigation 2, Footer Navigation 3 and Footer Navigation 4.
Here you can add a footer. Suppose you want to add Recent Comments, Click on Recent Comments you will get options to add it to Footer Navigation. You can setup the theme
by using the demo link given below

I’m still not understanding fully. On https://theascentguide.com/test/index.php/homepage/ I created a footer but it’s not clear at the bottom of the page.

Another question I have is how can I make the top picture not as tall?
