Footer Sidebar Encoded – Can't edit

Hi guys.

I have installed a theme (Stripey – downloadble here) ans it had an encoded footer/sidebar. Looking at the web page code I was able to extract the correct part. However I have an issue because it appears that all of the sidebar is hardcoded to the PHP, so when I update my sidebar from the dashboard, it does not update on the website. I was wondering if and how I could change this?
