    Hi @marcobutz,

The group block in your footer is set to the “Full” alignment, which is why it’s currently stretched all the way to the edge of the screen. The header is set to the “Wide” alignment.

    Hi Anders.
I now changed it, but now its to narrow. What is the problem?

    Hi @marcobutz,

I can’t see the footer on your site now, so I can’t say for sure, but it’s likely that you changed it from the “Full” alignment to no alignment at all, in which case the width matches the content width of the site. If you it to match the header width, you need to set it to the “Wide” alignment.

    Anders,
once you had a look, I totally screwed it up an built it up again.
Now you can have a look and theres a strange behavior:

On the main page: [ redundant link removed ] the footer ist totally wide, from side to side.
But if you click an “basic” side, not the index-side, the footer looks perfect to me: for example on /kontakt/

Could you please have a look?

    Hi @marcobutz,

I actually can’t see the footer at all on the front page. If you have a caching plugin active, try deactivating it in case it’s serving an old version of the page.

    Hey Anders,
I now deactivated the cache enabler tool.
Nothing changed on my side. I can see the footer. In the index page too wide, on the “contact” side perfect!

Could you have a look into it?

Could you have a chance to look if this is a bug in the theme as it only occurs on the index site?
    Best regards

    Hi @marcobutz,

I’d recommend you to remove the Index template and start over, and see if you can resolve it that way. Also, please don’t send login details to people you meet on the support forums. It’s a security risk for you and I’m pretty sure it’s against the rules of the forums.

    Hi Anders,
I did what you told me already:
    > rebuilt from scratch the index site
    > deactivated the cache enabler plugin
    > changed from full site to wide and back and forth
No change. On all browsers the same.
Dont you have the same isue if you build it on your end from scratch?

dont get me wrong. I am helping you to beta-test your theme.

@marcobutz No, I can’t replicate the issue on my end. If I remove all custom templates and template parts from Appearance → Templates and Appearance → Template Parts (so it reverts to the ones built-in with Tove), go to the Site Editor and set the group block within the footer to the “Wide” alignment, the footer contents have that width on all pages (including the blog/index) without extending to the edges of the screen.
