• I am using First theme, with a child theme for customised CSS.

Is there any way to change the three footer widgets to one only? I would like to use just the centre one, but have this auto-expand widthwise, based on the content, up to the full width of the body text above.

I’m comfortable with making CSS changes, but nervous about editing PHP so may need clear help.

    Any ideas?

  • I see that this is an old post, but I’m having the same problem.

Anyone know how to change / fix this?

I’d actually be okay without a footer at all. Can I just remove the .php file for the footer? Would that break anything?

    Thanks!

Oh my. Here’s an update… My bad! Turns out the ability to change and even delete footer widget pieces is right there in the widgets section under appearance. Woo, go me!

    Have a great day, everyone!
