For attribute that is used only once, is it better to use "Custom Attribute"?

    For attribute (that will be used for variable product) that will only be used once, is it better to create an Attribute via the “Attributes” page, or just use “Custom product attribute” in the “Add Product” page?

    Because over time, I end up with a lot of one-time-used terms in certain attributes, I wonder if it will affect the system/speed.

    If you ever need to use this attribute in layered nav, it needs to be global. If not, its fine to use custom.
