For how long official WordPress themes (as Twenty Twenty-One) are getting update

    (I couldn’t find any answer on Google. I Don’t know what is the right place to ask it. I Will try a few.)

    For how long official WordPress themes (as Twenty Twenty-One) are getting updates?

    And what kind of updates do they get:
    – Security?
    – Bugs?
    – Accessibility?
    – Compatibility with new standards (as AMP)?

    If there isn’t an official timeline, it will be nice to know how it went in the past until now.

  • There were updates to default themes (back to Twenty Ten) in several of the recent WP releases. There is no timeline, though.
    As WP evolves to a different kind of theme that uses blocks, it is likely that the older ones will be archived or something.
