• Hey WordPress, just get rid of the pointless Hello Dolly plugin and replace it with the Gutenberg plugin. Then anyone who wants to use Gutenberg can crack on, and the rest of the world can simply remove Gutenberg and carry on with business as usual.

    Simple!

Thanks for reviewing the new editor. @megaheff can I ask you to explain a bit more about your experiences testing Gutenberg?

As you can tell from many of the reviews here, most of us don’t even want to test it. We just want to be left alone with our “classic editor” and not be forced into gutenberg.

I can appreciate that you have been working hard on Gutenberg, and that there will be some non-developers out there that will find it incredibly useful. However I do not believe us developers need an editor like this.

If integrating Gutenberg into WordPress is to compete with the likes of Wix, then just add it to wordpress.com only for the people with little or no knowledge of development who want to easily create an account and edit pages.

I have installed the Gutenberg plugin and have been using it for the last few months, and I have come to the conclusion that it is not something that I will ever use as the classic editor does everything I need it to.
