• Hello,

Great theme! I have a question about watching the site on a mobile device.

I use dynamic widgets to control the sidebars on my site. Very Nice. But on some places when you watch on a mobile phone you first have to scroll down all left sidebar content before getting to the main content.

Is it possible to show the main content first on a mobile device and after that content the sidebar content?

    That would be really awesome!

    Thanks in advantage.

    jap

    How can i change that?

    thank you for your responds

What happens when you try? Can you give us a link to your site?

You can see what I mean over here:

    https://danpajo.com/zelfstandig-ondernemer/

At the right site you see small youtubes. When you click on watch full screen in the bottom right corner of the videoplayer.

Its switching to full screen and back… and nothing is changed.

I noticed this when trying a group chat plugin. I tried to maximize the group chat and it acted the same way as the youtube video. I found somewhere on google i had to turn off the settings we are talking about now.

When i turn the Responsive settings off. It is working again.

For now I don’t use the group chat function anymore but I do use the youtubes. So it should be nice if this can work together with the responsive settings.

    Thanks for your reply.

Don’t quite see what the problem is. It works fine for me (OS X, Firefox, latest).

You seem to have adopted a pragmatic solution of only having a right sidebar on that page, however. So maybe that’s all you need to do.

Apologies: in my haste, I didn’t read your post well enough; I tested on a desktop, not a mobile.

Yes, that function is one that kicks in a couple of seconds after the screen is loaded. It sometimes disrupts picture display and is clearly interfering with the YouTube video display (which only works the second time you click it on a mobile device.

The ideal solution would be to wait for a fix in that functionality.

The pragmatic solution is to use only right sidebars and switch that function off (as the function serves only to rearrange the left sidebar after the content—the right sidebar always comes after the content).

I was talking about watching on a desktop.

What you mean with it works for me?

When I go with chrome or Explorer to the page https://danpajo.com/zelfstandig-ondernemer/ and i try to maximize a youtube player. It is maximizing, then automaticly minimizing again and the video player stays small.

First i thought it was only in the sidebars. But when i go to https://danpajo.com/test-youtube/ and try to maximize the youtube player. Its maximizing and in the same second minimizing.

I cannot test it with firefox because i dont have it. But for this behaviour there is no sollution?

Otherwise by only using right sidebars and switch it off?

That would be a real bummer…

    Jap

On an OS X desktop with Firefox I don’t see the behaviour you describe, no. I am able to view the video full screen fine.

This thread title has “mobile”—and indeed there I have problems on iOS 8.

It’s basically a bug and one that’s been around for a while. I don’t know how high it is on the developer’s list of things to do. The temporary fix I suggest is to switch it off and use right sidebars, but I realise that it’s not ideal.

Ok thank you for your responds…

I wait till its made. To change all sidebars could be a work around but I dont want to use the sollution.

The visitors can only look to smaller video’s from now on..

lol i can send them glasses.

    thank you for your help
