I have someone working on my sites. Several give him a Forbidden: You don’t have permission to access wp-login.php on this server

He says WordPress won’t let him access the admin. I say he must be IP banned for the site(s).

Which would that error refer to?

  • That message is not coming from WordPress by default. If you do not have any plugins active that limit logins, then it must be coming from the server.

Sorry, didn’t realize it was in caps. I thought that was a server message as it never mentions a script, just the server and, I believe, port number (80).

But I wanted to check to be sure.
