    Hi there,

    I noticed that Fluent SMTP has stopped working correctly on 2 of my websites. There hasn’t been any changes on these websites, but for some reason mail is not delivered anymore. The server reply is:

    { “code”: 422, “message”: “Forbidden”, “errors”: [ “Forbidden” ] }

    Can you please let me know why this is happening?

    Hello @marjolein64,

    I understand that you’re experiencing issues with Fluent SMTP on two of your websites. I’ll do my best to assist you with this.

    You mentioned that you’re receiving a “Forbidden” error with code 422. This error typically indicates that there is an issue with the authentication or permissions for the SMTP account you’re using.

    It’s possible that there have been recent changes to the Microsoft SMTP account or its credentials. Additionally, policy changes within the account may also be responsible for this issue.

    To troubleshoot this further, I recommend checking the following:

    1. Verify SMTP Account Credentials: Ensure that the SMTP credentials you’re using in Fluent SMTP are correct and up-to-date.
    2. Check Account Status: Log into your Microsoft SMTP account and verify that it is active and not suspended.
    3. Review Account Policies: Check for any new policies or restrictions that may have been implemented by Microsoft that could affect SMTP connections.

    If you continue to experience issues after checking these points, please let me know.

    Hi @ibrahimsharif ,

    Thanks for your help!
    Without making any changes, the email started working again in september without error messages.
