Forbidden Error

  • Whenever I attempt to login to my admin I get a white screen with the word Forbidden in the top left of the screen. I disabled every plugin and nothing changed, same result. I was able to login just fine last Saturday after I updated a couple of plugins and am not today. Not sure what to do, and my host was of no use in trying to solve this problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  • Are you running any security plugins? If so, one of those may have locked you out.

    If not, does this happen with multiple web browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari)?

    If so, your web host may have restricted the login for the WordPress admin (WP dashboard).

    Yes, I run iThemes and that was my thinking that it may have locked me out. Would it still have locked me out even after I disabled it through my ftp?

    Yes, it does replicate on other computers and different browsers from my home.
