    Hello Team,

We installed the GiveWP plugin and set up the v3 visual builder form on our site, configuring the default test donation for testing. During testing, we found that after submitting the form, it throws a forbidden error. Following is the error screenshot for the reference –?https://tinyurl.com/2ccz5ma5
We encounter the same error on production environment as well.

Please find version related information below:
    #1 Give WP – Version 3.16.2
    #2 WordPress – Current version: 6.6.2
    #3 PHP Version – 8.2.12

    Thanks!

    Hi @rupeshjorkar,

You came to the right place, I’m happy to help you resolve that.

Thank you, as well, for providing a screenshot of what you’re experiencing!

It looks like you’re running it on a localhost, did you install it in a subdirectory? Based on our previous cases, these errors happen when an installation is in a subdirectory. It needs to be on a subdomain OR on the main domain, but not subfolders.

I’ve escalated this to our development team so they can work on a fix. You can follow up on the progress of the fix here:?https://feedback.givewp.com/bug-reports/p/vfb-forms-generate-invalid-form-id-error.

We are actively tracking user issues to make sure our dev team is aware of them and can get them fixed. You can use the link to check in for updates or to provide additional details of your own.

Give the post above a look, and let me know if you would like me to add any additional details. I want to ensure your need is as accurately reflected as possible, and I’m happy to include an internal note to our teams with any specific information you would like them to have.

While we work on a fix, feel free to message us if you have further questions or require any additional assistance!

If possible, you can try moving the site to a subdomain installation or the root directory. If that’s not possible, you can use an option-based form instead as a workaround.

    Thank you for using GiveWP!

    Have a wonderful day!

    Hi @rupeshjorkar,

Sorry for the slow turnaround here.

Thank you for sending a video of what you’re encountering as well!

Based on that, I can confirm that you are indeed experiencing the bug that I described in my previous reply, wherein these errors happen when an installation is in a subdirectory.

If possible, you can try moving the site to a subdomain installation or the root directory. If that’s not possible, you can use an option-based form instead as a workaround.

Please let me know if you have further questions.

    I’m always happy to help!
