Force All Comments to be Private

  • Hi is there a way to force all user comments to be private? So that only comment author and admins could see them?

    There’s nothing built into the plugin at the moment, but it could be accomplished. In depends in part on what you’re trying to do. Some possibilities:

    – Leave the Private checkbox on the comment form, but pre-check it by default
    – Hide the Private checkbox and force all new comments to be private
    – Hide the Private checkbox and force all comments across the entire site to be private
    – Some combination of these, but only on specified posts.

    Can you say more about what you’re trying to accomplish?

    Thanks for the reply, it would be great to have an option to hide Private Checkbox and force all comments to be private on certain post types. In my case I would like to have all comments private for learndash pages, such as lessons, topics and quizzes. Taking into consideration certain course’s private nature it would be a nice feature to have. Thank you.
