    Hi

I’m trying to let anyone that registers on my site be able to create events. I want all events to have the option for people to RSVP.

I’ve turned on ‘enable event booking’ in the settings, but now users have the option to make the event bookable or not. I dont want them to see this option or to have a choice, I want all events to be bookable.

Is there a way to do this with the free or pro version?

    Thanks

PS, also I don’t want users to have to see/configure any booking info, all events should just let people RSVP attendance and there should be no limits to the number of RSVPs.

So the user enters the event details and creates the event, it auto approves and people can RSVP.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Sorry, there’s no RSVP option; users can only book tickets (or not).

Hi, sorry, I probably didn’t explain what I was trying to do/have working very well.

So far people can ‘RSVP’ as I am setting bookings to auto approve, and then I will change the titles etc to make it look like they are saying they are attending. I don’t need ‘not attending’, ‘maybe’ etc.

But what I do need to do is force all events to be bookable and set spaces to say something silly like 10000, so as many people can say they are attending as they want (my site is going to be listing car shows).

So basically I want to make all events locked to being bookable and hide all the ticket configuration from users when they create an event.

Hopefully there is a way to do this with a bit of hacking about?

    Thanks

There will probably be quite a bit of work involved to do that. These might help…

This tutorial explains how to create custom templates that are upgrade-safe:

    https://wp-events-plugin.com/documentation/using-template-files/

Adding a code snippet like this to the functions.php file of your theme will let you set the default total spaces for the events, so you don’t have to do it every time:

You’ll probably also want to edit the formatting under Events > Settings > Formatting to suit what you’re doing.

Just to say I ended up hiring a developer and we (well, he!) made the tweaks to get this working, so it is possible if you don’t mind customising the plugin and can find a developer that knows his stuff.
