Hi, have you tried the following plugin https redirect?

Yep, it broke access to the admin pages due to an SSL error (I can’t remember the exact error message, have since disabled and removed the plugin). It seemed to do the trick for accessing the actual site but not much use if it breaks my admin access…

Hi, was that an older version of the HTTPS plugin or did you try the new version? If you had an issue with that plugin did you create a ticket? There are more than 10,000 websites currently using that plugin without a problem.

I downloaded and installed it via the wordpress plugin gallery today so I assume it was the latest version. I’ll look into reproducing the issue and raise a ticket on their support page I guess.

Okay that would be great. You might like to close this support thread if you don’t have any more questions.

The answer to your question is yes, you can add some custom rules. You have to find out from your host what would be the best SSL redirect rule to add to the .htaccess file.

However using the plugin I mentioned above does the same job without you having to add any code yourself.

    OK, thanks for your help.
