Force Optimize Thumbnails

  • I have a couple sites that were previously using TinyJPG’s “Compress JPEG & PNG images” [1] set to only optimize the upload and not the thumbnails (not the best idea, I know, but it is what it is now).

    I would like to switch these sites over to Imagify. However, it won’t optimize the thumbs on previously optimized uploads. Seems like it looks at the upload file, sees that it’s already optimized and stops right there (not optimizing the thumbs).

    Running “Regenerate Thumbs” [2] doesn’t seem to trigger any optimization either. Naturally, re-uploading all those images is not feasible.

    Is there a way to “force re-optimize” all images, including their thumbs, and regardless of the upload size / optimization status?
