Force SSL Exclusively not working

Hi all,
I have a multisite install with the MU domain mapping plugin.
When I’m on a page that is forced to ssl, and I click on a link to a page that is not forced ssl, I get sent to https even though ‘Force SSL Exclusively’ is checked in admin.
I followed this previous thread:
