Forced data sharing,

So I installed the widget, and it gave me a CHOICE to share data with the maker to help improve the widget. I opted out of it, since privacy laws in europe are currently super strickt and I’d rather not risk a problem with that. The widget ten proceeded to tell me that I was not allowed to acces the widget (literal phrasing!).Tried to deactivate the widget, was forced to give out my email adress and then again forced to allow the sharing of data, otherwise you can’t give any feedback! Sounds absolutly luricrious since I had a very non-malicious reason to opt out and wanted to pass this on to the maker, but was not allowed to do so. So, hence the review, if I can’t share a bit of info the proper way, we’ll have to do it the public way.
I hope this is resolved at some point. The widget looks good, but phrasing a choice but then not allowing people to use the widget properly if they opt out or try and delete it comes across as kind of scammy and rude.
