    An odd thing.

When I turn on the forced HD720 some users with a slow connection can’t access the page with the embedded video at all. They get the standard error page as if the url they were accessing doesn’t exist.

As soon as I remove the forced HD, then they can access the page. But of course the video plays in 360.

Ever seen this odd behavior before?

YouTube does not like to stream top HD formats on slow connections. They are very efficient and proactive about resource allocation. Your best bet is to let fast and slow connection visitors watch videos based on their own defaults and connections.
