Forced subscription as Required fields is not working

  • Selected in configuration the following:
    ? Required field? (will force subscription)
    ? Make subscription option checked by default

    The following is generated:
    [knewssubscription* knewssubscription-810 knews_cf7_field_email:your-email knews_cf7_field_1:your-name knews_cf7_en_1 default:on “Subscribe”]

    The subscribe button is defaulted with a tick,
    however user can still uncheck the tick box and submit the form successfully with the following message shown.
    “Your message was sent successfully. Thanks.”

    However when check the mailing list, in fact no subscription record is saved, and the user does not receive any email notification.
