• … what’s an easy way to “force” summary of posts on the first page?
That is, I have the Options -> Reading, I have “summary” selected, but it doesn’t quite seem to offer too much of a difference when I check it on or off.
Is there a way that I can force the articles to be quick synopsis be displayed as the visitors come to the site for the first time?
Better yet, is there a pluggin that lets me use the Excerpts right in the blog itself? If someone THEN clicks on the article title, or the pictures, then I would like to show them the full article, no?
    Thanks!

  • The summary you selected is for rss feeds. I have posted often to this question exactly how to use the_excerpt() instead of the_content() for the main page and the_content() for single post pages, just do a search to find the code to substitute.
