Foreign Plugin “Insult Stephen Pro” suddenly installed

    Hi community,

    after a recent automatic WordPress Update there seems to be a new Plugin, which I cannot identify nor uninstall.

    I have the following info:

    WordPress Plugin Insult Stephen Pro v.4.4.6 to blur

    Version 4.4.6 | Von?Graysonybed?|?Plugin-Seite aufrufen

    When I try to uninstall, it causes a critical error on the website, which WordPress automatically prevents and sends an email about the issue to my inbox.

    Does anybody know what the plugin is for? Is it malware or something like that, can that happen at all?

    • try to delete the specific plugin via your webhosting account file manager or an FTP tool like FileZilla
    • if an unknown plugin was installed, check to see if your site has been compromised. (try a tool like https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/), check for any unknown admin users, change passwords for WP-Admin access and webhosting access
