Hi all, I’ve modified parts of the forever, and did some “edit css” with the jet pack. My understanding, is that best practices is to create a child theme. so, I have done so, and I have copied ALL of the files from forever them, into the forever-child theme (except the style.css), and also changed the child’s “style.css” as per instructions. BUT, when I activate the child them, I get this error:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare forever_full_width() (previously declared in /home/wp-content/themes/forever-child/functions.php:16) in /home/wp-content/themes/forever/functions.php on line 19

sooo. i’m quite confused as what i should do next. I have modified some of the php files in the child theme.

    they are:
    colophon.php, masthead.php, and functions.php

and the code is here: https://pastebin.com/dhQjE9rv

    Is there something I’m missing?
