  • It sounds like you had a very poor first experience with Gutenberg! I’m sorry to hear that but you taking the time to try it out and give feedback here is appreciated. It’s been a few months now, some bugs have been sorted out. Do you find it any more usable? It would be appreciated if you shared some specific examples of what doesn’t work for you so we can work to improve the experience overall. You can share that here or log an issue on the GitHub repo here:?https://github.com/WordPress/gutenberg/issues.

If you’re absolutely not comfortable with the Gutenberg experience, you can always opt for the classic editor with this:?https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/classic-editor/

I still very much have a problem with Gutenberg.

I’ve been trying to build a new client site exclusively in Gutenberg. The complete lack of features, functionality, and flexibility of the Gutenberg system versus other page builders is astounding and makes it impossible to recommend to any of my clients at this point.

Additionally, if I were to switch any/all of the [nicely designed and currently well-running] client sites I have built with other page builders over to Gutenberg they would be broken completely and lose almost all functionality.

In my opinion, Gutenberg is still a boondoggle that should be relegated exclusively to how blog-entric content is created on the post end of things and is completely unusable for the bulk of the millions of websites and thousands of designers/developers making actual full-blown websites with WordPress beyond the blog spectrum of things.
