Forgot password

  • ok so.. after installing i entered in the password the installer gave me .. but when i logged out i forgot the password and forgot to change the pasword.. so i clicked forgot password and they never sent it to me.. is there a way i can go through FTP to get my password?

  • No, not that I’m aware of any way. If you didn’t change the password and have forgotten the auto-generated one, AND it isn’t sending you the password I can only really think of 2 things possible ways to fix it:

    1. Re-install WordPress (But this should only be your last resort)

    2. If you can access and browse your MySQL database you can change the password manually in there. (i.e. using phpMyAdmin)

    Please don’t repost the same problem….

    Ack. Well, I’m having such a hard time with posts not showing due to lag or something – it’s being a PITA for sure…..
