Forgot username — how to get reminder?

  • Apparently I am remembering my username incorrectly, so I cannot get into my unfinished site to edit it.

    Resetting my password does no good, as it’s the username which I need a reminder for.

    Do I have to just abandon the unfinished site and start a whole new one from scratch now?

    Assuming it’s possible to have more than one account on WordPress, create a new account, install WordPress from the very beginning as if I had never done it before, and start back at square one.

    This problem remains unresolved. A horrific quirk of WordPress, no explanation and no solution. I cannot spare any more time for this, so I’ll have to give up on it (again) and come back to it some other time (again) and either hope it resolves, or waste many more hours trying to “fix” it by jumping through hoops.
