I have the weird situation where wordpress has forgotten my images, even though they haven’t changed and are still sitting in /wordpress/wp-includes/images/. I posted an article on 23/08/13 and the images showed then with no problems, but now they’re not showing! I’ve checked with filezilla and they’re still in their proper place, and they’re all .png’s made with ‘shutter’. I’ve been into the /images directory and found that they’re all still there, copied the url to the clipboard, and re-inserted them into the post, but they’re not showing in the article. I’m specifically referring to https://www.sharons.org.uk/2013/08/23/three-good-notepads/.
Can anyone throw any light on this situation and what I have to do to correct it please?

    Thanks, Sharon.

I’ve managed to sort out the problem, so here for the benefit of the archives is my solution.

For every image in the whole blog, they need to be replaced with one that has been uploaded with ‘Media -> add new’ and then inserted into the blog posting itself using ‘Add media’. This then shows each image, which may need resizing, and should hopefully sort out the problem long-term.
