    Look at the page again carefully. Did you actually change the password directly in the database? Then you would have access again long ago.

    As soon as you have access, you can see why e-mails do not arrive. This is often related to the hosting of the web and the emails, where the email hosting does not accept the emails from the web hosting. You could ask the support of the two hostings or install an SMTP plugin in WordPress with which you would send emails from WordPress directly via the mail server. But you can only do that when you have access.

    It might sound dumb, but where do I find my wordpress database ? I don’t have mysql on my computer, so my terminal doesn’t recognize the first command “mysql -u root -p”

    Usually you can find an interface for the database in the hosting package. Keyword phpmyadmin or myadmin. The support of your hoster can surely help you. Locally on your computer this is in no case to find because it is in the hosting area where the website can access it.
