Fork 2.3.5?

Nice idea! At the moment i use the 2.3.5 and set the version to 9.9.9 – looks good, works! I will not use the 3.0.x again, i hate banana software :-/

I don’t understand what the Yoast team felt was wrong with 2.3.5…it worked, it was easy to use, everyone liked it. 3.x doesn’t add a single good thing! It only takes away or degrades.

I can answer you: money was the reason.

This is the sad part. “It worked, it was easy to use, everyone liked it”.

Honestly I even prefer the old UI over the new one.
When I want to enter my meta title and description it just bugs around.

Instead of forking, why not work to ensure the bugs you are having are fixed?

For content writers, the new snippet box is pretty nice so they can visually see if their copy fits in correctly.

The real time is also a huge benefit. It’s an admin panel, what does weight matter? For writers, to be able to see the plugins input without saving a draft is another huge plus.

If your system/browser is too slow to handle this analysis, maybe the solution to the problem is to fix that instead of keeping to an old version.
