• I would like to implement a time slot booking feature. As the time slot is time sensitive, I’d like to implement a time limit that is displayed on the form with a countdown timer, that if it lapses, voids the attempt and unlocks the time slot so others can book it. Say 60 seconds.

I saw a similar feature on Eventbrite, where it gives you an 8 minute timer to buy the event ticket, otherwise it would terminate the process.

Is there a plugin that does this? And also handles locking/unlocking? I’ve seen several countdown timer plugins, but they are more for an event countdown, not integrated into a form as in my use case.

    Thanks.

  • The RegistrationMagic plugin is one such WordPress counter plugin that offers a Timer field to add to your form. Try this plugin, hope this will help you.

Thanks for tip, the plugin looks very comprehensive. I’ve been looking through their plugin page but I wasn’t able to confirm whether this plugin will add a timer field to the form itself, or apply a timer setting to enforce a form completion time limit. I am seeking the latter functionality.

And as for locking, or rolling back changes if the form completion timer lapses, can this be done with a plugin? With this plugin?

On a separate but similar note, adding a timer field with this plugin, will submitting the form trigger the countdown timer?
