Form Doesn't Submit When Upgrade Needed

Hi there,
I’ve had a constant frustration with this plugin. Every time the plugin needs an upgrade it stops actually working on my site (won’t submit). Once I upgrade it then works fine. Can I be notified when an upgrade is available. Or just upgrade it less please. Because I don’t always notice it needs an upgrade and I could be losing students/business.
