    Hi,

I am testing the new checkout experience before enabling it for my live website. On enabling it in the plugin, the stripe input form that accepts credit card details does not display at all. See this image: https://ibb.co/rFKQCmm

When I switch back to the old experience, form fields start displaying.

Can you please tell me what could be wrong?

    Thanks,

    Vinita

    Hello vinitabansal

    Thank you for your reply.

Let me summarize the occurrences of the problem in a list.

    • You reported the issue first time on 22nd April 2024.
    • The issue was resolved by itself on 25th April 2024
    • You reported the second time on 10th June 2024.
    • The issue was resolved by itself on 4th July 2024

I cross-checked these dates with the plugin update releases and found that they do not coincide with the update releases.

This suggests that something else is causing the issue and fixing the issue.
It could be another plugin or the theme.

Answering your question, we do not conduct A/B Tests with plugin releases.
Our plugin updates are thoroughly tested in Beta versions and then released for public use.

To diagnose this issue and find out what is causing this, I would suggest setting up a Staging Site.
Then monitor the site for any issues and check if the same issues are occurring on the main site and the staging site.

If you need further assistance, I am here for your support. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi Zubair,

I understand that there were no plugin updates. But please notice that no plugin or theme conflict could have occurred as well because I had shared screenshots showing the form fields not displaying with twenty twenty four theme and only 2 plugins enabled (woo and stripe payment).

Can you investigate into why stripe link was throwing the error that I had shared earlier even when it was disabled?

Unhandled payment Element loaderror Objecterror: message: “Link is not supported in your country.”param: “deferred_intent.payment_method_types”request_log_url: “https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/logs/req_DTr2dahIWi0Kqc?t=1719490390″status: 400type: “invalid_request_error”Prototype: ObjectPrototype: Object

    Thanks,

    Hi @vinitabansal

The error message you’ve shared suggests that the issue is related to the Link by Stripe which is not supported in your country. This could be a reason why the Stripe input form isn’t appearing.

Can you please disable Link and check whether the form shows or not?

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi Shaheem,

Stripe link has always been disabled in stripe dashboard for me. I had shared a screenshot as well for it earlier. Sharing it again: https://ibb.co/0JyXKft

Is there something else to be done to disable it?

    Thanks,

    Vinita

    Hi there @vinitabansal

Is there something else to be done to disable it?

There are two places to check, for making sure Stripe Link is activated, or otherwise:

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

    Hi,

    >> In the settings?of the?WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway?plugin

I don’t see stripelink as an option in my stripe plugin settings. Only gpay and apple are available. See this https://ibb.co/pR7vrWC.

    >> In the related screen at dashboard.stripe.com

Shared earlier that this wasn’t enabled when I faced the issue.

What would be the next steps to identify the source of the issue so that we can prevent it from occurring again?

    Thanks,

    Vinita

    Hi there @vinitabansal

From what I gather, both places from where Link by Stripe could be enabled are checked, and the issue appears no more.

As long as the settings keep Link by Stripe deactivated, the issue has no reason for reappearing.

I hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions about this matter, or if we misinterpret your concern in any way. We will be happy to help you further.

    Hi,

Both these settings were the same even when the issue was reported. I had shared screenshot of the same earlier. So, I don’t believe it was a settings issue.

    Thanks,

    Vinita

    That is correct, @vinitabansal .

Based on the message posted here, this is a plugin/theme conflict issue.

What would be the next steps to identify the source of the issue so that we can prevent it from occurring again?

Listed here are the steps for identifying the culprit.

I trust this is helpful and provides clarity. Please let us know if you have any further questions or concerns.
We will be happy to help you further.

I am not sure how this can be a plugin and theme conflict issue when it occurred with twenty twenty four theme and only 2 plugins (woo and stripe). Can you please elaborate?

    Hello vinitabansal,

    Thank you for your reply.

To confirm, the issue is not appearing at the moment.
    Is that correct?

If this issue occurs again, it would be helpful if you could share the error message from the browser’s console. The last time you shared a console error it was related to Link by Stripe settings.

Hopefully, the issue will not repeat itself as you have updated the Link by Stripe settings.
But if it does show up, we will be happy to look into it again.

    Have a great day!

    Best regards.
