I am using a standard setup of WordPress, WooCommerce and Storefront theme. I am now trying to optimize the registration process and I stumpled upon some differences between the regular user registration form (my account) and the form during the checkout process.

Could somebody help me to understand these differences? During the checkout process, I get a nice JS form evaluation and double opt-in email options, whereas these features are missing in the regular my account user registration form.

Both seem to be handled differently, the checkout process surely by WooCommerce / Storefront theme.

Is there a way to use the Storefront double opt-in feature/mail also within the regular user registration process? Same for the JS form evaluation?

    Many thanks!

    Hi @snooopy83,

The WooCommerce checkout process hooks into the standard WordPress user registrations process and add’s some new functionality related to the creation of user accounts as all created accounts are WordPress Users.

The features of WooCommerece cannot be activated for the default WordPress registrations form however and are unique to WooCommerce.

You may, however, be able to locate some plugins which could add similar features to the standard WordPress registration process.
