    Hi There –
I am using Form Maker and have successfully linked form submission to a SQL database. I don’t want there to be any duplication of entries in the database so I set the submission field to be UNIQUE in the databases structure. This works and does not allow a duplicated entry to be updated in the SQL database.

However, upon submission of a duplicated entry the (form submitter) user does not get a notice the database did not get updated “because the value was already in the database”.

Is there a way to alert the user / submitter that he/she tried to enter a duplicate entry?

    Thanks for any help.

    Regards,
    Brad

    Hello Brad,

I am very sorry to get back to you this late.

Dear Brad, for which field type you need this feature? For some of our field types we have an option Allow Only Unique Values when enabling this, the user cannot submit the duplicated value and gets an alert message.

Please see the screenshot and check whether for your field type we have this option https://nimb.ws/QRMc8s.
