    Hi,

I’m having a few issues with the plugin that I would appreciate some help with.

I’m trying to associate the form in the URL above with a new test list called AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (more easily to find it amongst the ~200 lists my client has already created.) I’m doing everything right, as far as I can tell, and as borne out by a screen share with one of your WP specialist support people who referred me to here.

This issue first arose around the holidays, a couple of days before a big event, and my client switched to using Formsite as a workaround. I’m in the process of a rebuild of the site and want to get back to using CTCT.

The form that was built for that event is still active, and although it shows the correct associated list, forwards to the correct URL on submit, and even send out the welcome email, that one doesn’t write anything to its correct list. I discovered that when I cloned it while troubleshooting.

Additional question, related to the huge 200 list tally: is there any way to sort the list of lists in the plugin alphabetically, or by creation date? SO hard to find the right list as it is.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi @cjbrigden

I’m seeing two different forms on the linked page. One with just an email field, and another with email, first name, phone, and address fields as well.

Which one are we needing to debug at the moment?

Sounds like no error of some sort is being triggered thus far, or else you’d have an admin notice in place in the WordPress Dashboard, but I’m still wondering if maybe something isn’t connecting properly, somehow.

Regarding the sorting, are you referring to the list display when editing a form with the Plugin? I’m pretty certain we don’t presently have a way to sort by certain parameters, so we would need to get that added in a future version. I believe we also have a bit of a limit at the moment of 100 lists on the WordPress side, which may or may not be reflecting for you right now. Can you confirm how many you’re seeing?

    Hi,

Thanks so much for the fast response and the follow-up. Apologies for my slow reply in return, I was on the road. Back now and eager to get this resolved.

The duplicate form is now gone. Another developer was working on a separate issue and causing that. Sorry for the confusion. The form in question is now here –

    https://afipodev.wpengine.com/form-test-aaa/

I’m assigning this form to the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA list by checking the box against the list name in the plugin, but it does not show as associated with any list on the All Forms page, and when I try to submit from the test page, I get an error “Please select at least one list to subscribe to.”

I know I have connection to the CTCT servers as I can see the newly created AAAAAAAAAAAA list in the plugin and also this form is working ok –

    https://afipodev.wpengine.com/form-test-to-mmm-rsvp/

Wrt the list display sorting, yes that’s the one I’m referring to. I’m seeing 217 entries there, which is all of the lists on the account. The display order in the plugin seems random though. I called the new test list AAAAAAAAAAAAAA in hopes it would make my life easier by appearing first either alphabetically, or by creation date, but it’s buried about 70% of the way down the display so I don’t understand what the sort parameters are.

I can live with that though, I just need to be able to assign new forms to new lists because I have 32 of them to build ??

If this is proving too difficult, I’d be happy to give you admin access, but obviously this is not the best forum for such credentials, so let me know if I can do anything else to help the process.

Thanks for your time and your support. It’s much appreciated.

No worries on the delay, hope the travel was safe.

Yes, definitely not the best place to share credentials, we would take that discussion to private correspondence there.

That said, for the sake of brevity in getting this resolved, I think we should do that too.

Please reach out to [email protected] and also CC [email protected] with this link in the email body https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/form-not-associating-with-selected-list/ so that we know which support thread it’s referring to. We’ll have someone reach out asap once received.

    Thanks Clif.

Hi, I did as you suggested with the email and cc’ing you, but I haven’t heard anything back from support. It’s been a while now, so bumping it here for better response.

If you received responses from a Michael Beckwith, he’d be the contact who was reaching out for the elevated support.

It would have come from the “[email protected]” email address. Possible it went into spam filters?

Will have Michael try direct email as well
