When I insert the form into this page, the form is not rendering. I have tried adding the form via the shortcode and by adding the Forminator block and selecting the form from the dropdown. It does not seem related to this form as the default contact form has the same issue and the theme is by Automattic. I have also attempted to uninstall and reinstall the plugin to no avail. Here is what I am seeing on the editor

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @schentrupsoftware

I hope you are doing well and sorry to hear you are having this issue.

I could see some of the Forminator scripts and the placeholder where the form should render but I can confirm the Ajax request is not being called.

Do you have any JS error on the browser console via the editor?
    https://balsamiq.com/support/faqs/browserconsole/

I don’t see any from the front end.
Does it work with a different theme or without any plugins?

In case you haven’t tried yet, please try a full plugin conflict test: https://wpmudev.com/docs/getting-started/getting-support/#conflict-test

Let us know the result you got.
    Best Regards

No console errors when I select the form in the editor or open the page.

I had not run the plugin test. Doing so, I was able to narrow it down the “Gutenburg” plugin. When I disabled it, the form showed up in the editor.

After doing that, it still did not show up on the page. I then turned both of these on in the forms setting and now it is showing up.

Turing the plugin back on, the page still works but the editor is still broken. I dont use the plugin so I am just going to keep it off.

    Thank you for your help!

    Hello @schentrupsoftware

Thank you for the update, glad to know that you were able to further narrow down the issue.

I was able to narrow it down the “Gutenburg” plugin. When I disabled it, the form showed up in the editor.

I tested the scenario on my lab site which is a vanilla WordPress installation and checked with 2024 theme & the Speil Theme (which your site seems to be using) but could not replicate both issues. Forminator Block on Gutenberg works fine. Please refer to the screen recording. https://monosnap.com/file/OWmjmnB9uq9hFu6rqbGO8J8jikcOLf

This means that the issue you notice on the Edit page while using Gutenberg is limited to your site – which probably could be an issue with the template/content. I can understand you already have Gutenberg disabled as you don’t use it and currently the site is working as it should, however, if you wish to further narrow down the issue with Gutenberg you can try creating a test page & a test post on your site without any content and simply add the Forminator form and see if that works.

Further, please allow me to clarify, the issue you noticed on the front end could be a common cache issue and enabling the form to load via AJAX and disabling cache on the form page seems to resolve that. I also noticed that you have Cloudflare enabled on the site – I would recommend you also purge all the Cloudflare cache and any server cache and check if the form issue on Gutenberg on the WP Admin backend is resolved too.

    Hope this helps.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh
