Form not sending and not displaying messages

    Since updating to version 4.8.1, the form is not sending or giving any messages i.e SENT SUCCESSFULLY etc..

    the loading icon spins indefinitely with no next step. It was working before with 10+ forms on 2 websites. Both websites have same symptoms.
    Using reCAPTCHA. Tried removing reCAPTCHA and retested contact forms = NO GO
    Help … I see multiple posts for support help with no posted solutions that work
