    Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Akismet Anti-spam, Classic Editor and Classic Widgets, and clearing all cache data.

    Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

    thanks, default theme is a tough one on a live site. my revert back has caused nightmares in the past., that said, will absolutely do all the rest.

    thanks will circle back. figure it is some conflict somewhere.

    not sure if some aforementioned plug-in update helped but it resolved itself. will be mindful of the plug-ins and thanks!
