Form not sending submissions

  • I have a form on the following page:

    It was working just fine but now it doesn’t seem to be sending form submissions. I have a from email that uses the sites domain, and have tested that email by itself sending & receiving emails without a problem. When a user fills the form they receive a success message, and the form itself is captured in Contact & database. I tried contacting Hostgator but the person I have on chat doesn’t really seem to understand what I am telling them, they believe the problem lies with the plugin but I told them (many times) that a success message & form capture by contact 7 database usually means the plugin is working properly.

    Is there something going on here that I am missing?

    Have you checked the spam filter?

    i have the same problem. i checked on the log from my mailserver and the inbound server is rejecting the emails because it doesn’t recognize the From address it as a valid email format. CF7 is not using my “From” email (an email on my domain) as the From in the headers. it’s using MyDomain @ MyIP .securserver.net. ([email protected]) Is there a way to force CF7 to send with an alias?

    Nothing in my spam folders for gmail, yahoo, or outlook accounts.

    Contact Form 7 gives me an error when submitting a test. I learned of this from an upset customer that called. My host said WordPress 4.6 is not compatible and I either have to downgrade or wait until tomorrow when WordPress 4.6.1 is released. The new release of WordPress is supposed to address these issues.

    I am using 4.6 as well but I receive a success message when I submit a form. Could 4.6 still be the issue? This form WAS working prior to updating to 4.6 from what I recall.

    elocalolutions, the only way to confirm is to rollback to the last version of WordPress or do what I am doing – waiting till tomorrow.

    My host is Bluehost if that matters. I think HostGator and Bluehost are owned by the same company and would likely have the same issues. If you do rollback, please let us know. Because the problem is not isolated to Contact Form 7. I’m not getting emails from Wordfence Security logins either. And my guess is that my customers are not getting their Woocommerce receipts and order tracking information either. ??

    Just downgraded and so far it does not seem to be working. Still not receiving form submission emails.

    My forms where working 2 weeks ago, now users are getting an error message, “There was an error trying to send your message, Please try again later.”

    This a very serious issue for us as we are using C7 for multiple sites and clients. I need to know if I need to replace the plugin or if a fix is coming very soon.

    I’ve rolled back WP and Contact Form 7, still not working. My headers are correct, my from email matches the domain, I am receiving success messages, and form submissions are being collected in the DB. STILL NOT RECEIVING EMAILS. CLIENT IS LOSING IT RIGHT NOW.

    Mine is not working either, it does not look like you found a solution?

    It used to work – did WordPress change something internally?

    @spiriman, so changes in core class PHPMailer, described in the link above, do not seem internal enough ? The list of changes is available here
